Check out who supported us in 2017!

Founders ($2,500 – $4,999)
Here’s a secret. Melrose Grad Night loves the Melrose Bank Foundation even more than MHS graduates love the Cash Cube. What’s the Cash Cube, you ask? Just the greatest invention since, well, cash. Stand in a cube and grab what you can. We cannot begin to express our gratitude to Melrose Bank Foundation for their commitment to being an annual major sponsor of Grad Night and the most awesome Cash Cube.

Platinum ($1,000 – $2,499)
The Aveni Family has sponsored us for a $1,000 grant from Cummings Foundation each year since 2014, when their son Aaron attended our very first event, Grad Night 2014. We are extremely grateful to Melissa, Mike and Cummings for their loyal support of this important community-wide event.
Paul Murphy Insurance goes far beyond being your typical insurance agents—they pride themselves in being active, dedicated members of our local community. Again this year, we are proud to call them Melrose Grad Night Platinum Partners. Their generosity and commitment to our graduating seniors is overwhelming. Please support them by contacting them for your insurance needs.
The Rotary is a not-for-profit corporation supported solely by voluntary contributions from Rotarians and friends of the Foundation who share its vision of a better world. We are blessed to be the beneficiary of the Melrose Rotary‘s generosity and to share in their vision of MHS graduates as champions of a better world. Thank you, Melrose Rotarians!

Gold ($500 – $999)
Our first donor for 2018 Grad Night has been named! Kim and Charles Maggio, of Melrose Family Optometry at 490 Main Street in Melrose are proud to sponsor our community event. With two children at MHS, they value the hard work of the Grad Night crew and recognize that a substance-free party is not just the right thing for their own kids, but for our entire community. Kim and Charles met in optometry school and fulfilled their dream of owning a private practice together. As 20 year residents of the Melrose community, chances are great that if they haven’t looked into your eyes, they’ve gazed at one of your neighbors or friends. Stop by or call 781-665-0897. Their full service optical store features eye exams, glasses, and contact lenses. Tell them we sent you!
The law firm of Bell & Izzi, LLC, continues to be a strong supporter of Melrose Grad Night. They are always one of the first businesses to donate and we cannot thank partners Robert L. Bell, Jr. and Louis P. Izzi enough! Please visit this small, community based, general practice firm located in Melrose. They offer downtown expertise at suburban hourly rates. They employ a holistic approach to the law and are knowledgeable and experienced enough to handle most matters within their practice areas.
With over 75 years and 3 generations of service to families of Melrose, Robinson Funeral Home feels it is their  job, duty, and privilege to serve the needs of our community. Lucky for Melrose Grad Night, Robinson also feels an obligation to support the youth of our community by keeping them safe on their graduation night. We appreciate Robinsons’ yearly support to our One Big Night!
Lisa Cusolito, an MHS parent and Combined Properties employee,  encouraged her company to donate funds raised during “jeans Friday” to MGN! This is  a great example of a creative way to work with organizations to support local initiatives.  Combined Properties is a full-service investment and development real estate firm specializing in commercial and multi-family residential properties. Owned and operated in Malden, Combined Properties is committed to their customers, communities, and to creating better places to live and work.

Bodyography is as proud to support Grad Night as we are to have them as a sponsor. As a local Melrose business, Bodyography’s priority is to improve the health and wellness of our entire community. The practitioners who offer bodywork, acupuncture and skincare recognize that the earlier individuals learn programs of self-care, the better. Bodyography encourages students to use massage and bodywork for stress reduction and to assist in the prevention and recovery from injuries. By offering a 20 percent student discount,  Bodyography hopes to encourage the younger set to make bodywork a regular part of their lives.
The Melrose Mass Cultural Council has been a supporter of Melrose Grad Night since the beginning and we cannot thank them enough for their support. Karen Konicek, the Melrose coordinator for grants, is also the mastermind behind the community Look What’s Happening Melrose calendar, a community calendar where residents can list all sorts of local events. We are grateful to the Council for their support of Grad Night and to Karen for her support of our community!
Our hearts warm when we see that donation from the YMCA cross our desks. There is certainly no better measure of our community than to see our kids grow up in programs offered by this wonderful organization. From swim lessons to gym games, to basketball and pumping iron, many MHS graduates call the Y a home away from home. We are ever so grateful that the YMCA continues to support Melrose Grad Night. Because although our seniors will bid MHS good-bye, we are certain they’ll come back, for years to come, to the YMCA!
After 125 years of continued service, Gately Funeral Home is the oldest family run business in Melrose. As long standing members of the community, they are frequent sponsors of community events and athletic teams. We are grateful that John Gately and crew see the value in Melrose Grad Night and in the graduates we support.

From fittings to adjustments to fine tuning the perfect attire, Tamara has seen many MHS students in her shop. In 2018, she reached out to us with an even bigger donation as a thank you and congratulations to MHS graduating seniors. Call Tamara for prom, bridal, christening, home fashion, and more!

Melrose Highlands Congregational Church holds a special place in the heart of many an MHS graduate. You see, this church is the home to middle school dances, where those now-graduates received their first step to independence in their young lives. Dances are the Highlands Church’s longest running outreach activity to the Melrose community. Proceeds support a variety of service and outreach activities. Thank you, MHCC, for hosting our kids at middle school dances and for sponsoring them at Melrose Grad.
Donny Calvert is a longtime supporter of Melrose Grad Night and his three sons could not be prouder. His sons include an MHS graduate, a  current MHS senior, and one quickly making his way up the ranks. The Calvert boys are well known in MHS hallways and on the Red Raider playing fields. When Donny is not performing a feat of plumbing genius, you’ll find him in the back row of the bleachers, proudly supporting the MHS athletes on the field. Got a leaky faucet or another plumbing need? Give him a call!

Headquartered in Newton, MA, this generous bakery donates 150 cupcakes to Melrose Grad Night each year. Please consider their delicious delicacies for your next event or celebration! Now in their 29th year of business, The Icing on the Cake is a custom bakery specializing in cakes, cupcakes and cake pops for all occasions.
Pro-Am has been providing top quality services since 1981. For over thirty years, they have been delivering custom sportswear and accessories exactly as their clients envision. But for us at Melrose Grad Night, they are so much more than that. They are the providers of the shirt we give to a commodity near and dear to us: our volunteers. A colored shirt with printing on the front and back was a bit out of our price range. So they asked us what we could afford and absorbed the rest. That’s a partner we want to keep. Thanks, Pro-Am!
